Research Articles and Abstracts

Research articles and abstracts can be difficult to understand and aren’t widely publicized. However, they are the primary and most reputable source of information. Articles like these are written by doctors and scientists for the scientific community, so for an outsider, it can be hard to understand what they are talking about. Articles go into great detail, so it can be helpful to skim the bulk of the content and focus on the introduction and conclusions. Abstracts are another common form of scientific literature. Abstracts can be easier to understand, because they are basically a summary of a report.

As you may know, CBD oil can be vaporized, we make CBD oil vapes under the brand Hookahzz. Vaping CBD oil is the fastest acting method of consumption, and is growing steadily in popularity.

This abstract states that a popular ingredient in e-liquid, Propylene Glycol, produces significantly higher levels of Formaldehyde than another popular ingredient, vegetable glycerine. Formaldehyde is the same chemical used in the embalming process, and is not something you would want to inhale. This is why we only use vegetable glycerine in our CBD oil e-liquids.

Full Spectrum CBD Oil vs CBD Isolate

Titled, Overcoming the Bell‐Shaped Dose‐Response of Cannabidiol by Using Cannabis Extract Enriched in Cannabidiol, this paper focuses on the difference between CBD isolate and whole plant extract.

The biggest difference between CBD isolate and whole plant extracts such as CBD oil, is that CBD isolate only contains CBD. There are many different cannabinoids present in whole plant extract, such as CBG, CBN, and over ten others. This is why whole plant extracts such as CBD oil are referred to as full spectrum, meaning they contain the full spectrum of cannabinoids.

This article found that full spectrum CBD, is more effective than CBD isolate for treating inflammation. In future research, scientists will probably find this is true for other applications as well. This is what makes full spectrum CBD products so highly sought after. Learn more about the difference between full spectrum CBD and CBD isolate here.
